Avadi, Vel Tech Engineering College Graduation day held on 25/4/2014 at 4.PM. in Mother Teresa Auditorium in Vel Tech. Col.Prof.Dr.Rangarajan presided over the function. Shri R.R.Gopaljee, Distinguished Associate Editor, Dinamalar & Chairman & Managing Director, Malar Group of Companies was the Chief Guest of the Function. He distributed the 4 Gold medals &207 B.E. Degree certificates to the graduates and he delivered the Graduation day address.
“Smart work, hard work would make the students the best citizens” said Shri R.R.Gopaljee. He also added the youth should follow some duties in their life like to respect their parents to have an individual faith national pride and religious pride. He also motivated the youth to face the weakness by moral strength and use the opportunities with logical thinking and independent decision. He also advised not to misuse the opportunity and get them captivated to emotional threats. Finally he concluded the achievers are the happiest person and let the graduate be achievers. Dr.Rangarajan Mahalakshmi, Chairperson& Managing Trustee introduced the Chief Guest, Principal Dr.Parthasarathy welcomed the gathering. Dr.Sakunthala Rangarajan, Vice Chairman & Mr.K.V.D.Kishore Kumar, Vice President were participated on the occasion.

The 2nd Graduation Day Ceremony was held on Monday 20th July, 2015 for the passed out students of 2014 at Vel Tech Mother Teresa Auditorium. The Ceremony commenced with academic procession walking into the auditorium with the conventional tune played at the background. The Principal Dr.B.Nagalingeshwara Raju welcomed the gathering. The Vice- Chairman, Dr. Mrs. Sakunthala Rangarajan presided the ceremony.
The Chief Guest Smt. Rashmi Urdhwareshe Director, the Automotive Research Association of India made the convocation address and distributed degrees to 210 students who had passed out B.E/B.Tech degrees in 2014. She addressed the budding Engineers that future holds great opportunities in the Engineering field and one’s values, visions, dreams and capabilities all together would enable him/her to make the right choice in their life. She advised the graduates to learn while earning and do not hesitate to take risk. She further said that students must work hard to develop their skills and should consistently work with sincerity, which is the key to success. After the award of degree the Graduates took the pledge to be honest in the discharge of their duties and serve for the cause of the nation. The ceremony ended with national anthem.

On the 26th of March 2016 Vel Tech Engineering College Celebrated the 3rdGraduation Ceremony to congratulate the graduates of four departments namely Civil Engineering , Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering for their achievements in 2011-2015 at the Convention Centre Vel Tech Avadi. Out of 349 students 270 have received graduate certificates.The Chief Guest for this momentous occasion was Mr .KasturiVenugopal, the Whole Time Director, Kasturi & Sons. Ltd, Chennai.
Among the dignitaries present were, the Founder, Chancellor & President , Colonel Professor Dr.Vel R Rangarajan, the Foundress, President Dr. Mrs. Sakunthala Rangarajan, Vice – President Mr. K V D Kishore Kumar and the Principal Dr. NagalingeshwaraRaju. Addressing the Graduates, Mr. Kasturi Venugopal / The chief guest spoke about the changing times, and the crucial role that every student has to play in bringing about said changes. He urged the Graduates to consider the consequences of technological advancements including environmental degradation and strive to work hard for a better future bearing in mind the hopes and dreams of our forefathers.
